Offred is a  rare and fascinating document sent by courier from OKH (Oberkommando des Heeres) to Panzergruppe 2 announcing the awarding of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross to Fritz Fessman and Hans Limmer, both of Panzer-Aufklärungs-Abteilung 7, 4. Panzer-Division. They were both awarded the Knights Cross on October 27, 1941.
 
Panzergruppe 2 was pushing on to Moscow at the time, and was led by Heinz Guderian.
