Period framed award document for the Silver Star - this is a posthumous version for a soldier killed on October 8, 1918 inn the Meuse-Argonne. The soldier, Private Arthur Clementson, served with Company A, 26th Infantry Regiment of the First Division (Big Red One). He was from Wisconsin. Some documentation states he was killed on October 5th or 6th.
